I love to work with colleagues when ever I get a chance, so when Julie of Julie Mikos Photographer asked if I wanted to join her, I was over joyed. It was such a gorgeous day at the Marin Art and Garden Center with a slight breeze and Mount Tam in the background. The flower girls were precious, parasols gave shade and to top it off the day ended with a Ben and Jerry's ice cream wedding cake! What more can you ask for...

A birthday photo field trip
My friend Ted and I, traveled the windy tree lined roads, where the air is so good you wish you could bottle it and take it home. Arriving in a small town with an old time feel called Pascadero, we stopped for lunch at the Arcangeli Bakery. Sandwiches in hand we ate outside on the picnic tables, where we ate fresh artichoke garlic bread that was still warm and melted in your mouth, ahhhh. The sun was shining and we strolled the town taking pictures.Later in the afternoon we traveled along the coast via Half Moon Bay and visited one of my favorite bookstores, The Moon News Bookstore, which sadly is closing. The beach beckoned as the sun was getting lower in the sky, a few more pictures and then on back to home. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to spend my birthday!

Photo fieldtrip ~ Ocean beach
Oh how I love going on photo field trips, so when my friend Joan wanted to know if I wanted to get up early and head to Ocean Beach, I said yes. The surfers were out in force as we walked along the beach with our cameras in tow, as we headed towards the Sutro Bath Ruins. The baths were filled with water, but the tide was so low that the tunnel in the rock was accessible. We had perfect overcast light all morning long and as noon approached the sun came shining out. We ate at the little dinner there and head home via the scenic drive thru San Francisco.
