In honor of my Grandpa Ben

My Grandpa passed away this week. He was 98 and half. I only hope my life can be half as interesting and amazing as his.

I have so many great memories...
Sharing a slice of Grandma's apple pie- I would eat the filling and he would eat the crust (I only like the filling)
Stories of him and his brother cutting up a fur coat to make themselves mustaches when they were boys in Poland. My favorite was a bedtime story about a dog named Rin Tin Tin
All the singing, he had a wonderful voice and loved to sing- he was the cantor of his synagogue
and so many many more memories...

I took these photos when my grandparents came to visit me at Syracuse University. They were taken with a twin lens medium format camera.

Wedding ~ Cindy and Bharat

in association with Misti Layne

The wedding was held at The Lodge in Sonoma. The day was hot and steamy, a mere 100 degrees but who is counting. We stayed cool while we hung out in Cindy's room. The site was beautiful with the ceremony in the late afternoon outside with a fountain and hanging lights overhead.

Everyone danced, the music ranged from Indian to Modern and was just great!

Wedding ~ Healdsburg

Another chance to work with Julie of Julie Mikos Photographer.

Healdsburg Country Gardens, is one of my all time favorites sites. It has a rustic barn, a windmill and incredible gardens with so many nooks and crannies to explore... there are even doves to be found.

It was an amazing Harvest wedding and for those of us who are pie lovers it was a little slice of heaven...apple with a crumb top, rhubarb and blackberry pie with home made vanilla ice cream. There were also fun hats and sunglasses for guests to wear in the photo booth.

At the end of the ceremony the Bride and Groom departed to the theme of Charlie Brown ... da da daaa

Wedding ~ Fort Mason

A lovely intimate wedding held at the scenic 1 Fort Mason in San Francisco. The site overlooks the bay, ships passed by during the ceremony creating an atmosphere of the possibilities of both land and sea.

The dessert was chocolate brownies with rock salt, the perfect blend of sweet and salty, topped with Carmel sauce and vanilla ice cream, so yummy!
